PRISON PREP is a nationally recognized consulting firm with the ability to conduct business in all 50 states.  The professionals at PRISON PREP realize the complexities that present themselves when dealing with the indicted client.  We also understand that your clients will have many questions regarding matters outside your area of expertise.  Thats where we come in.

PRISON PREP cofounders Jim Sed and Joyce Douglass have nearly four decades of combined experience to assist you in the non-legal matters that concern your clients.  Joyce is a retired parole agent who conveys a unique perspective on supervision, reentry and family reunification.  She has also worked closely with parents, spouses and children of those confined and recently released.  Jim's understanding of the federal system is invaluable.  His experience has been derived from his time as a federal inmate and reentrant.  During that time, he developed an extensive understanding of the arrest, incarceration, BOP administrative and reentry processes.

This wealth of knowledge enables our firm to field questions and concerns your clients will have as they progress through their journey, freeing up your time to concentrate on legal matters.  PRISON PREP will walk your client from indictment through reentry by providing the tools necessary to navigate their personal experience through the system.

PRISON PREP is dedicated to offering your clients the most comprehensive assistance available with respect to our areas of expertise.  It is crucial that particular attention be paid to the time from indictment to incarceration.  PRISON PREP is available to lighten the load.  We recognize that due diligence in regard to downward departures, sentencing memoranda and guideline calculations are essential to ensure the best possible results for your clients.  We will consult with, and support your clients and their loved ones beginning with our initial visit. We will assist them through this very trying and unfamiliar process.  Allow us also, to aid your legal team.

"To the convicted defendant, the sentencing phase is certainly as critical as the guilt/innocence phase."
Justice Brennan, US v. DiFrancesco, 449 US 117, 150, 101 S Ct 426, 66 L Ed 2d 328 (1980).
